Minister of Education and Training Presents Appointment Decisions to the President and Vice Presidents of the National University of Art Education

NUAE – On the afternoon of June 5, 2026, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son presented the appointment decisions concerning key leadership positions at the National University of Arts Education, officially completing the University’s leadership team. This important personnel appointment aims to meet the requirements of higher education governance reform and to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the University’s operations in line with the policies of the Party and the State.

Accordingly, under Decision No. 1528/QĐ-BGDĐT dated June 5, 2026, the Minister of Education and Training appointed Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Dang Phuong to the position of President of the National University of Arts Education. Under Decision No. 1526/QĐ-BGDĐT dated June 5, 2026, the Minister appointed Ms. Trinh Thi Thanh to the position of Vice President of the University. At the same time, under Decision No. 1527/QĐ-BGDĐT dated June 5, 2026, the Minister appointed Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Vinh Hung to the position of Vice President of the University.

Speaking at the ceremony, Hoang Minh Son, Minister of Education and Training, emphasized that the appointments marked an important milestone in the implementation of Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW, dated August 22, 2025, issued by the Politburo on the model under which the Secretary of the Party Committee concurrently serves as the head of an educational institution. The Minister extended his congratulations to the newly appointed officials and stressed that strengthening the key leadership team is of great significance to the development of educational institutions in the new stage.

The Minister called on the heads of higher education institutions to focus on several key priorities in the coming period. First, they should foster unity and solidarity throughout their institutions, with consensus serving as the foundation for mobilizing collective strength. They should also uphold the responsibility of institutional leaders, build trust, and inspire dedication and commitment among faculty members and staff. In addition, they should adopt a more modern approach to university governance by accelerating digital transformation, promoting scientific research and innovation, and enhancing the competitiveness of their institutions in the context of international integration. At the same time, leadership effectiveness should be measured by tangible outcomes, with priority given to improving educational quality, strengthening students’ professional competencies, and generating valuable scientific and technological outputs that make meaningful contributions to the development of the education sector and the country.

The consolidation of the University Leadership at the National University of Arts Education not only meets the immediate requirements for organizational and personnel restructuring but also provides an important foundation for the University to effectively implement its development strategy in the new stage. As the University continues to advance university governance reform, enhance the quality of education, promote scientific research, foster innovation, and accelerate digital transformation, this represents a particularly significant step toward ensuring consistency in its strategic development and strengthening its capacity to implement key tasks effectively. These efforts are carried out in accordance with Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo on building a high-quality contingent of officials and continuing to streamline the organizational structure to ensure greater effectiveness and efficiency in its operations.
