Arts Education Journal Solemnly Commemorates Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21) and Remains Steadfast in Its Development Orientation in the Digital Era.
NUAE – On the morning of June 19, 2026, in the lead-up to the celebration of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21), the Arts Education Journal of the National University of Arts Education held a commemorative gathering to mark the 101st anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 – June 21, 2026). The gathering provided an opportunity for the Journal’s editorial board, editors, and staff to look back on its development journey, while exchanging views and discussing key priorities for the next stage of its development.
The commemorative event was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Dang Phuong, Secretary of the Party Committee, President of the National University of Arts Education, Chairman of the Journal’s Editorial Council, and Secretary of the Journalists’ Association Branch of the Arts Education Journal, together with members of the Editorial Council and the Editorial Board of the Arts Education Journal.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Dang Phuong, Secretary of the Party Committee, President of the National University of Arts Education, Chair of the Journal’s Editorial Council, and Secretary of the Arts Education Journal Branch of the Vietnam Journalists Association, delivering remarks on the Journal’s development strategy in the digital era and enhancing its academic quality.
On behalf of the Party Committee, the University Leadership, and the Journal’s Editorial Council, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Dang Phuong commended the Arts Education Journal for its remarkable achievements in recent years. He also outlined strategic directions that will guide the Journal into a new stage of development. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Dang Phuong emphasized “As we enter the era of advanced technologies and artificial intelligence (AI), journalism cannot remain on the sidelines. I hope that every member of the University’s journalistic staff will not only maintain their passion and enthusiasm but also continuously learn, improve their professional skills, proactively update their technology and new ways of thinking to master their work.”
Looking back on the Journal’s academic milestones, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Dang Phuong expressed his pleasure at the achievements the Journal has attained, particularly the increase of its evaluation score in the Cultural Studies disciplinary panel to 0.75. Looking ahead, he directed the Editorial Board to continue striving for excellence and to make thorough preparations to further improve the Journal’s evaluation scores across its disciplinary panels. Specifically, the Journal will strive to raise the Cultural Studies panel score to 1.0, while achieving a score of 0.75 in the Arts, Education, and Literature disciplinary panels in accordance with the evaluation criteria of the State Professorship Council.
In particular, the Chair of the Editorial Council further emphasized: “In the coming year, our primary objective is to successfully develop and operate the Journal’s digital edition. This is an inevitable step, in line with the trend of the times, to establish the Arts Education Journal as one of Vietnam’s leading academic journals in the field of arts education.”

Expressing her sincere appreciation for the insightful guidance provided by the President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Editor-in-Chief of the Arts Education Journal, spoke on behalf of the Editorial Board and expressed her pride in the Journal’s nearly 20-year journey of dedicated development and growth. Presenting a more detailed report on the Journal’s achievements, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao noted that the increase of the Journal’s evaluation score in the Cultural Studies disciplinary panel to 0.75 has significantly enhanced its academic reputation and expanded its recognition among scholars and higher education institutions across Vietnam. As a result, the Journal has received an increasing number of high-quality manuscript submissions. In particular, meeting the standards in digital transformation and scientific journal governance, the Journal has been assessed by the Ministry of Science and Technology as meeting Vietnamese scientific standards in 2026.
In response to the new responsibilities entrusted to the Journal, the Editor-in-Chief affirmed that the entire Editorial Board would make every effort to maximize the Journal’s existing resources and potential. She also expressed her hope for the continued support, close cooperation, and guidance of the Party Committee and the University Leadership in realizing the goal of developing a digital edition of the Journal and elevating its development to a new level. Concluding the commemorative gathering, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Dang Phuong extended his best wishes to the University’s journalism team, encouraging them to continue pursuing excellence in their profession: “On behalf of the Party Committee and the University Leadership, I wish you all good health, happiness, and continued success. May you remain ever more passionate and dedicated and continue to make even greater contributions to this noble profession of journalism.”
